Position Vacant: Guest Conductor

The Brunel Sinfonia is seeking to appoint a guest conductor for 2012.

Application Materials

Qualified applicants should submit the following materials:

  1. YouTube link or video showing applicant conducting. Please contact Paul Packwood directly on pp007a3557@blueyonder.co.uk if you do not have this available
  2. Letter of interest
  3. Resume
  4. Highlights of repertoire conducted, including orchestra conducted for each work

Further application materials may be requested by the Brunel Trustees.

Submitting an Application

Applicants should submit the materials electronically to Paul Packwood, Brunel Trustee at pp007a3557@blueyonder.co.uk by January 15th 2012; or email Paul to arrange a postal application. Finalists may be contacted for an interview after January 15th 2012, or move directly to an audition with the orchestra (for their vote) on the upcoming seasons programme.

Rehearsal schedule available for Autumn 2011

The rehearsal schedule for the Autumn season is now up online. First rehearsal is on Wednesday 14th September starting at 7.15 pm. Location is the usual place, Bristol Grammar School JCR.

Please have a look and let your section co-ordinator know if you can't make any of the rehearsals. Key wind players are asked to try and find a deps when they are absent, particularly if you are playing 1st.
