Sweet singing of the choir

Brunel Christmas concert flyer

Get ready for some angelic voices. We're excited to announce we’re being joined by Red Maids Close Encounters choir for our Christmas concert on Sunday 11 December at Henleaze United Reform Church in Bristol. The choir sing unaccompanied close harmony and pride themselves on their musical ability and strong reading skills.

They perform challenging pieces, a number of which are composed or arranged by their musical director, Catherine Woodman. They sometimes collaborate with the tenors and basses of QEH as the schools have a close relationship, regularly going on tour outside the UK.

Close Encounters perform throughout the year and as well as being treated to their dulcet tones at our Christmas event, you can also hear their special sound at the school’s own Christmas concert, their chamber music concert and at external fundraising concerts and weddings.

You can buy tickets on the door for Brunel's Christmas cracker of a concert which starts at 6pm. Join us for the festive music, mulled wine, soft drinks and mince pies.

Tickets: £10 adults, £5 children, £20 family (2 adults, 2 children).
