We’re putting on a short flashmob-style Music for Peace concert at Cabot Circus at 12 noon on Saturday 26th March to raise funds for Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC)Ukraine appeal.
50 of our players, plus some friends of the orchestra will be performing the Ukrainian National Anthem and movements from Elgar’s Enigma Variations, conducted by Mark Gateshill.
“Many of us have been shocked and saddened by events in Ukraine. We feel strongly that music is a great force for unity and peace and is something that everyone can be moved by. So we wanted to put that to good use with this free performance for people in Bristol and hope to raise plenty of money for DEC” says Mark.
